What Bone Version are you lot running? From Windows 10 (possible even from Windows 8+) the HP Scan utility has only been available via the Windows Store.
This has caused as a bit of a headache for the states with users with BYOD Printers (eastward.thou. for abode/remote workers) considering we remove the Windows Store from our Win10 deployment.
Our workaround is to use the HP Embedded Spider web Server, that usually has a scan option. Hope this helps.
